Look at the vast majority of video games gone theatrical.
It's directed by the guy that made Brotherhood of The Wolf so it can't possibly be as bad as House of the Dead. I actually liked the first installments of the Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, and Super Mario Bros. cinema adaptations.
Brotherhood of the Wolf was very good.
